Richardson's book makes it easy for educators at all levels and in various settings to embrace the integration of technology and to see its benefits for learners. I am glad you startetd this blog!

  3. I am glad to see people like Richardson writing books to teach instructors to become better distance educators.
As a big fan of online learning, I hope it continues to be popular and that people all over the world can attend college even if a school is not within driving distance.

  5. What I love about technology is precisaly this kind of sharing opportunities, I believe on interdisciplinary studies but I know it can become really difficult to succedd when the geographical and cultural distances interfere on the process. Wikis, blogs, and such give the opportunity of erasing those spaces. As for teachers and other professionals, this is the difference between making a difference in class, and keep doing it through distance.

  6. Loved the Richardson book! The Google reader was a new experience for me and I believe over time I will be far more efficient at collecting information that I deam useful(and not so useful). I would love to get suggestions of sites for adult educators, or any subject, to put on my list if any one has any.
Speaking with friends and with our class in the past, I have come across quite a spectrum of thought on technology and its pros and cons for educators and society in general. For me there is no simple truth here,I just keep reminding my self of this. Other then safty issues with children, Richardson seem to praise technology in education as all good.

  7. I learned so much from the Richardson book. I did not know what a RSS feed was! I use it all the time now! Amazing stuff! I can get so much information a lot faster without having to do too much searching. I thought the Google reader was pretty cool too.
